Born in 2002, in Nicosia, Cyprus. Raphaelle is a self taught artist currently based in Berlin since 2022. She mainly focuses on conceptual painting and experiments with plexiglass and resin sculpting. While her artistic journey began at the age of 19, she is now determined to pursue further studies in Berlin, to embrace her creativity with newfound dedication.
Although starting to take art more seriously since her move to Berlin, her influences began through personal experiences from her childhood and cultural heritages. Big influence that can be subjected in to her art is the polarity perspectives of life. The white and the black, the conscious and the unconscious, the ugly and the beautiful.
The keen way of perceiving and experiencing the two polar opposites of given situations have been projecting subconsciously in her art. Soviet films, French music, Damien Hirst, Rembrandt, Refik Anadol and Erwin Wurm were also notable sparks through her own individual creative evolution.
